Miniature American Shepherds

Millie's new litter has arrived!!!!

Millie delivered 6 healthy babies on November 17.  They will be available to go to their forever homes on January 12.

There are 2 Blue Merle Females,  2 black tri females, 1 red tri male, and 1 black tri male. Individual pictures can be found on the Puppy page!!!!
See below for more details!

Millie was bred to Sweetgrass Spur, a small Blue Merle boy out of Pockets lines (small mini lines), and delivered a beautiful, healthy litter of six on November 17, 2016.  Pups should be ready to go to their homes on or around January 12, 2017.

This cross is expected to produce much smaller pups than Millie.    If you are interested in being on the waiting list for a pup out of Millie's litter, you may email, call or contact me via Facebook.  A $200 deposit will hold a pup for you.  Puppies are selected in the order deposits are received.  I will take a couple more deposits on this litter.

For those watching for the anticipated litter from Gypsy in early November, Gypsy did not conceive.  Looking forward into 2017, Gypsy will likely be bred in March 2017, for a spring litter.

News!! News!!  News!!

Millie and Spur's litter is clear by parentage for MDR1, DM, HSF4 and PRA/PRCD.  Millie's hip pre-lim was Good and Spurs OFA hips were also GOOD.  Both parents have NORMAL CERF exams.

The Adult Dogs of Rocking J

In 2014, I made the decision to register all of my Mini Aussies with AKC (American Kennel Club) as Miniature American Shepherds.  This allowed my Miniature Australian Shepherds to be recognized by AKC and allows them opportunities to compete in a wider array of competitive venues offered by AKC.  This does not change who my dogs are.  Their pedigrees are that of full sized Australian Shepherds (including Legacy, Mill Creek, Timberline, and Three Oaks lines) crossed with dogs carrying the foundation Mini Aussie lines of Pockets, Coat Tails, Southern Cross, and TMR.  Technically, since July 1, 2015, they are a separate breed, but they are the same beautiful and talented dogs they have always been, but they have a new name.
